Cornerstone is a church replant affiliated with Trinity Baptist Church in Keystone Heights, Florida and the New River Baptist Association. The church building became vacant under some unfortunate circumstances and sat vacant for nearly 2 years. After much work from the members of Trinity and some members of churches in the Association the buildings and property were repaired and ready to be used for the glory of the Lord Jesus.

A place to worship is great, but a pastor to lead is needed. Director of Missions Bro. Ron Kimbrell and several other pastors within the Association began to pray that God would lead someone to take the church and give it Godly leadership as the new plant began anew. On a Tuesday in late October Pastor Joey Hay contacted Bro. Ron and asked about the opportunity to lead. As they and others prayed it became clear that Pastor Joey was God's man.

The church held services for the first time on March 17th, 2019 and the building was pretty filled. Praise the Lord a young man made a profession of faith on that day! As people have been led to join this work in Sampson City, Florida the membership has grown to over 40 individuals. On average around 60 people normally attend on a given Sunday.

March 17th, 2023 marked a milestone for the church as we celebrated four years of service to the Lord. Since Cornerstone was planted the church has seen 26 people follow the Lord in Believer's Baptism. We praise the Lord for the great things He has done and is currently doing in our midst. 

We are looking forward to what God is going to do in the future! Come join us on Sunday Mornings at 9:30am for Sunday School and 10:30am for Worship Services. Join us again on Wednesday nights for Bible Study at 6:30pm.
